5 Alabama players named AP midseason All-Americans

Five Alabama players were named midseason All-Americans by the Associated Press on Tuesday.

Two were named to the first-team -- defensive backs Minkah Fitzpatrick and Levi Wallace. Three were on the second-team -- left tackle Jonah Williams, center Bradley Bozeman and defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne.

Fitzpatrick has 32 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, four pass breakups, a sack and ranks third on the team with 4.5 stops for a loss. Payne is third on the team with 29 tackles, a shared sack and three quarterback hurries. And Wallace leads the SEC with nine pass breakups and is second in the conference with three interceptions.

Williams and Bozeman have both helped Alabama accumulate an SEC-best 484.9 yards per game and a conference-best 302.6 rushing yards per game.
