A member of a sorority at the University of Alabama is facing potential disciplinary action after a video was posted of her on Instagram saying the word "n*gger" repeatedly.

Local news station WBRC reports that University of Alabama student and Alphia Phi sorority member Harley Barber made a video of herself shouting racial slurs during a car ride with some of her friends.

"I don't care if it's Martin Luther King Day -- n*gger, n*gger, n*gger!" the woman yelled into the camera. "I'm in the South now, b*tch, so everyone can f*ck off. I'm from New Jersey, so I can say 'n*gger' as much as I want. N*gger, n*gger, n*gger!"

Shortly after the video went viral on Instagram, the Alpha Phi International organization said that Barber was no longer welcome to be part of their sorority.

"Alpha Phi is a diverse, values-based organization and condemns the language and opinions in these videos," the organization said. "They are offensive and hateful to both our own members and to other members of the community."

The University of Alabama similarly condemned Barber's behavior and said she could face possible disciplinary action over her racist rant.

"These remarks are ignorant and disturbing and in no way reflect the values of The University of Alabama," the university said. "This unfortunate behavior has been reported to the Office of Student Conduct as it does not align with the community expectations of students at the Capstone."
