KAKINADA : ONGC Eastern Offshore Asset, Kakinada was implementing various exploration projects for the overall benefit of the country. The ONGC’s CSR initiatives ensured welfare of the downtrodden and underprivileged in its operational areas. ONGC’s financial assistance helped government, aided and panchayat schools to improve the infrastructure facilities.

ED Alok Nadan said the projects undertaken by ONGC are bringing employment and prosperity in its operational areas. He said that the oil and natural gas sector is playing a crucial role in the overall development of the nation. He said the organisation was keen on social welfare measures and was undertaking several service activities under its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

ONGC has been working in East Godavari district for several decades. With support of local people and govt, ONGC has been successful in finding large quantities of oil and gas in both on land and in sea. 
The large gas finds in offshore would soon be available for development of people of Andhra Pradesh particularly of coastal areas.

CSR, a great leap forward 

ZPP High School, Odalarevu, has regularly been given CSR grant

As many as 900 persons have received employment benefit through contractors working on ONGC projects at Odalarevu
ONGC has been partnering with progress of the people living near its operational areas by providing education, skill development training, medical and healthcare and infrastructural facilities like roads and community centres etc

During the last three years nearly R3.5 crore has been spent towards development of Odalarevu through ONGC’s CSR funds only
ONGC is actively considering grant of R2.58 crore for providing drinking water to the individual houses in Odalarevu village through RWS Scheme
ONGC provided 310 solar street lights to Odalarevu village by spending R65 lakh which includes maintenance for five years
