FDH Bank launches mentorship programme

FDH Bank plc has launched a nationwide MentorAChild programme to help children make good decisions about their dream careers.

Speaking yesterday during the launch at Chichiri Secondary School in Blantyre, FDH Financial Holdings Limited group chief executive officer William Mpinganjira said they want to play a part in helping Malawian children have successful careers.

He said: “The initiative is part of our corporate social responsibility to take care of communities we operate in. Our staff and teachers nationwide will be offering career guidance, among others, to help students achieve their dreams.”

Mpinganjira also delivered a motivational talk to Form Four students whom he encouraged to work hard in their studies and avoid peer pressure.

The school’s head teacher Allen Mjima said the programme will complement their efforts to inspire students.

During the launch, which fell on the International Day of the African Child, the bank also donated 61 desks and 105 chairs worth K3 million.
