NEW DELHI- NTPC Kanti takes 1st spot in Bihar & 10th in the nation among power generation corporations. It is a matter of pride for the entire Muzaffarpur that NTPC Kanti has been ranked 10th in the list published by the Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power on the basis of PLF (Plant Load factor-87.58). The Plant load factor is commonly considered a measure of a power plant’s capacity utilization. 

Describing this achievement as a matter of pride, Sh K.M.K. Prusty, Head of Project, NTPC Kanti said, “It is a matter of great honor for us as this ranking reflects our performance and efficiency. This achievement will act as a great boost to our morale.

NTPC Kanti has not only been a leader in power generation but also in social upliftment. NTPC Kanti has successfully brought a lot of change at the social level in the nearby villages as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility." 

It may be noted that NTPC Kanti organizes medical camps every Saturday in nearby villages, from which about 2500 villagers have benefitted so far. Apart from this, mushroom training, beekeeping training, and lac bangle training programs have been organized to promote women's empowerment and economic independence, which has benefited about 300 women.

The Girl Empowerment Mission is scheduled to start next month, in which 40 girl students from nearby villages will go through one-month residential training at NTPC Kanti. 

Apart from this, NTPC Kanti will provide three months of training to 30 students from nearby villages after the due selection process at CIPET i.e. Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, Hajipur for employment and skill development of youth.
