State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty handed over two electric vehicles under the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to Yadagirigutta temple, near Hyderabad, during his visit on Monday.

The vehicles are specifically intended to assist senior citizens, women and persons with disabilities, ensuring their convenience and comfort while navigating the temple premises, SBI said in a release.

Mr.Setty emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusivity and supporting the needs of diverse groups within society. He expressed pride in SBI’s role in contributing to the well-being of communities through meaningful CSR activities. Chief General Manager of SBI Hyderabad Circle Rajesh Kumar said the battery-operated vehicles align with SBI’s vision of promoting sustainable practices while enhancing the experience of devotees visiting the temple.

Thanking SBI, temple executive officer A.Bhaskara Rao said the vehicles would be of help particularly to those requiring additional support.
