Fourth Bolshoi Festival of Russian Music supported by Gazprom Neft closes in Serbia
A concert from famous Serbian violinist Nemanja Radulović closed this year’s Bolshoi Festival of Russian Music on 17 July 2016, organised for what is already the fourth year by Gazprom Neft.

From 15 through 17 July the public of Serbia’s Mećavnik enjoyed the technical mastery of stars of classical music. The Festival opened with a concert from the “Bolshoi” symphony orchestra, conducted by Srboljub Dinić, director of the Mexico City Opera followed by performance of a renowned tenor Zoran Todorović. The second day of the Festival included a concert with performances from People’s Artist of the Russian Federation and famous pianist Yuri Rozym, as well as young Armenian star and winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. The final day of the Festival consisted of a concert by violinist Nemanja Raduolović together with the Double Sens ensemble.

Sixty five talented young musicians from Serbia, Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation took part in the Festival Competition before a jury made up of pianist Yuri Rozum, Dean of the Belgrade Faculty of Musical Arts, Lilian Nestorovska, and Professor of the Music Academy of East Sarajevo, Zoran Komadin.

The Gold Matryoshka in the 13—17-year-old age group was won by Alexander Latinović from the Serbian town of Ub, with silver going to Galina Nikolin, Belgrade, and the bronze to Ekaterina Maslova from Noyabrsk.
In the 18—25-year-old age group the Gold, Silver and Bronze Matryoshkas were won by Milosav Boićin, a student at the Belgrade State Institute for Arts and Culture; Yana Momirović, a student at the Prainer Conservatory, Vienna; and Minya Marchetić, a student at the Belgrade Faculty of Musical Arts.
A new feature in this year’s Festival consisted of unique master classes led by Nemanja Radulović, Zoran Todorović, Narek Hakhnazaryan, and Yuri Rozum.
TV channels Russia24 and Russia Today, Snob magazine, Serbian newspaper Politika and Internet portal Lenta.ru all acted as information partners to the Festival.
