NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, May 25, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Dr. Joel Singer, the founder of Park Avenue Stem Cell, is calling on every American to support the Wounded Warrior Project this Memorial Day. This organization provides support for injured veterans through a voluntary donation program 365 days a year.

Dr. Singer is himself a veteran of the US Army medical reserve corps during the Vietnam War. This allowed him to see first-hand the sacrifices American men and women in uniform make as they knowingly place themselves in harm’s way to protect America. Their dedicated service should be recognized every day of the year and he believes support for the Wounded Warrior Project is a great way to do this.

Support of veteran’s issues has become part of the fabric of daily life at Park Avenue Stem Cell. They’re a global pioneer in stem cell research offering treatments for arthritis, chronic inflammation, degenerative disorders and Alzheimer’s. A portion of every procedure they perform at their New York based clinic is donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The clinic is also involved in important research into the viability of using stem cell treatments to help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD affects more than 10% of all American veterans according to The US Department of Veterans Affairs.

For veterans of the Vietnam War, the number is estimated to be about 31%. There’s a clear need for ground-breaking research like that being performed at Park Avenue Stem Cell and Dr. Singer is leading the way with his talented team of researchers.

More information on the Wounded Warrior Project can be found at support.woundedwarriorproject.org. Dr. Joel Singer wants every American to remember that Memorial Day is about more than just burgers, hot dogs, and fireworks. America’s veterans deserve the support of the public every day.

Dr. Joel Singer graduated from Queens College, The University of New York, where he studied biology and chemistry. He then went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. In 2007, he obtained an MBA from the George Washington University School of Business. While his educational pursuits have kept him busy, he’s also found time to support several worthy causes in addition to his ongoing support of the Wounded Warrior Project. That includes travelling around the world on behalf of charitable organizations providing free surgical services for children.
